August 24th trip
Leintwardine, New Invention, Bishops Castle, Stiperstones
As many of you know, we lost our dear friend and member Martyn Crowther. It was Martyn’s wish that there would be some of our classic cars following him on his final journey. Ten cars turned up for the funeral cortege, from Dawson’s in Craven Arms to the entrance to the Shrewsbury Crematorium. Two of the cars were Martyn’s, the Riley driven by son Kevin, and his Wolseley driven by his grandson. Martyn’s brother Derek drove his own Saab. We had police permission to do this, but with the restriction that we could not leave our cars.
